Child and Adolescent Therapy

I strongly believe that there is no such thing as a "bad" child. There is nothing to “fix,” but that doesn't mean we can’t work together to improve behaviors, whether at home or in school, teach healthier coping skills, and build your child's overall confidence. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents in various settings, including therapeutic day schools, private practice, and hospitals. I specialize in working with children and teenagers aged 5-17, particularly on OCD and anxiety-related issues. After an intake session with both the child and caregivers, I create a developmentally appropriate and individualized treatment plan tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Individual Therapy

Being a college student or a young professional can be challenging on its own, with the constant push and pull of figuring out who you want to be and where you want to go next. This internal conflict can often exacerbate challenges you may be having, such as attending to obsessions and compulsions, constant anxiety, or skin picking and hair pulling. Together, we will work on managing life’s stressors while also addressing your specific concerns, helping you navigate this transitional period with more clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience.

Parent Sessions

Parenting a child with anxiety or OCD can feel like you’re trying to guide your child, but they’re not responding the way you expect. The good news is that you can learn how to change your own behaviors to indirectly target your child’s OCD and anxiety, all while leading with support and respect. Together, we can help build your child’s confidence and teach them how to manage their big feelings, ultimately empowering them to navigate their emotions more effectively, without them having to be in the therapy room.
